How long have you been in business?
Arco Music was founded in late 2016 by Emil Ivanov, who is a professional violinist, music contractor, strings bow restorer, and violin and viola teacher with over 10 years of experience.
What is your primary product or service?
We provide the local community with high quality live music entertainment for various special events (weddings, receptions, business openings, fundraisers, anniversaries, etc), bow repair services to keep your instrument in optimal playing condition, as well as violin and viola lessons for all ages and levels.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Emil Ivanov received a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and a master’s degree from Rice University. In addition to teaching, Emil Ivanov serves as Assistant Principal Second Violinist of the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra, and performs with various music groups in the area providing entertainment for weddings, corporate special events, and various religious services. After years of performing, teaching violin and repairing bows, Mr. Ivanov decided to combine all his music passions and put it under the umbrella of Arco Music.
