What is your primary product or service?
We provide real estate closing services and, in conjunction with those services, we abstract titles, obtain opinions of in house attorneys as to the title and issue Owners and Lender's Title Insurance Policies of Insurance as Licensed Agents of Chicago Title Insurance Company, which is part of the Fidelity Group of title insurance companies, the largest title insurance company in the world.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
The principals and agents have over 40 years of real estate experience. The Company has been involved in 10's of thousands of closings involving raw land, developed real estate, single family and multifamily residential properties and commercial properties.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We are Lafayette based at the same location since 1980, 814 S. Washington St., Lafayette, LA. We are involved in transactions all over the State of Louisiana, and conduct closings generally in our offices or in offices we arrange for at the location of the property if necessary to accommodate the closing. In most commercial closings, the documents are executed wherever the seller and buyer are located and exchanged via FedX or UPS, so the location of the closing is our Lafayette Office. We have no present plans to open other offices,
Provide detailed directions to your location
From I-10, take the University Avenue Exit, proceed south to Congress St., then take a left on Congress St., then take a right on South Washington St. which is one block past the first traffic signal at St. John St., then go 1 1/2 blocks on South Washington to 814 on the right side of the street to our acadian styled office built in 1869. We are located behind the Federal Courthouse that faces Lafayette St. in downtown Lafayette.
What type of payments do you accept?
Cash; checks, but most real estate transactions require "good funds", like wire tranfers, bank money orders or certified checks, which cover all costs of a transaction at the time of closing.
Which areas do you service?
All of Louisiana, with most of our business being in the southern 1/2 of the State.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Jefferson J. Moss, Jr. is the President of the company and Robert Brenham is Vice President. Both are licensed title insurance agents.
What are your hours of operation?
8:30 to Noon; 1 PM to 5:00 PM weekdays; but we are available to close transactions afterhours and on weekends as necessary to accommodate the parties involved in the transaction
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
That we got a difficult or complex real estate transaction closed without a hitch.
